SLAMD Mailing Lists
If you would like to keep up on what is happening with SLAMD, then you may wish to join one or more of the mailing lists that are available. The mailing lists that we offer are provided below. Alternately, you may browse the archives for these lists by clicking here.
In order to subscribe to the mailing lists hosted on SLAMD.com, then you should send an e-mail message to "{listName}-subscribe@SLAMD.com". The message subject and body may be left blank, or you can put whatever you want in them. Once you send the message, you should receive an automated reply requesting that you confirm your subscription. Simply follow the instructions in that message (in most cases, this simply involves replying to that confirmation request) and you will be subscribed to that list. To unsubscribe from the list, send an e-mail message to "{listName}-unsubscribe@SLAMD.com".
SLAMD-Announce
This list is used for major announcements, like information about new releases or other significant news. This should be a very low-traffic mailing list, so if you don't want to get a lot of mail but are still interested in keeping up with what is happening with SLAMD, then you might want to join this list. Posts to this list will only be allowed by a small set of administrators.

SLAMD-Discuss
This list is used for general-purpose discussion of topics pertaining to SLAMD, including questions, comments, feature requests, and bug reports. Posts to this list will be allowed from anyone that is subscribed to it (i.e., any message submitted from somone not subscribed to the list will be rejected).

SLAMD-Commit
This list is used to provide information about every commit that is performed in the CVS repository. This may include everything from major feature additions to minor bugfixes to fixing typos in the documentation. Posts will be allowed for subscribers only.

Mailing Lists on java.net
Because SLAMD is hosted on java.net there are a couple of mailing lists that are maintained on that site. In particular, cvs@slamd.dev.java.net is used to provide automated notification of any commit into the CVS repository (much like the SLAMD-Commit@SLAMD.com list), and issues@slamd.dev.java.net is used to provide automated notification of any update in the issue tracking system.
